(1) Does an offensive/counteroffensive need to be coordinated with friendly air assets? Russia hasn't been able to use its air assets for tactical ground support, and yet they can still successfully go on the offensive especially in Luhansk. Ukraine is successfully going on the counteroffensive in the Kherson area, and around Kharkiv it's kinda both ways right now.

(2) Continuing with your theme of fratricide avoidance - Andrew Tanner's proposing a cohesive unit within a 20x20 km block, and Andrew Tanner points out that that is a huge space. Are you (a) concerned about fratricide from within Andrew Tanner's Battle Group concept targeting its own, or (b) fratricide from other Battle Groups? Andrew Tanner points out that good comms is essential for his concept; to have good comms would require good IFF, which would avoid all fratricide.

(3) You point out that Ukraine hasn't been able to successfully go on the counteroffensive in the previous 8 years in the Donbas, but (a) Andrew Tanner is arguing that with his reorg proposal, they would be better able to, and (b) now Ukraine is getting operational-level medium-range rockets & artillery. Your point about 8 years of failure in the Donbas doesn't disprove Andrew Tanner's thesis: It's what his proposal is aiming to fix.
