(1) Israel already dismantled all Gaza settlements in 2005. (2) At this point, the most reasonable West Bank settlement option would be the sort of boundary deal that Arafat and Israel pretty much agreed to in 1988/89, but that never came to fruition because Arafat pretty much was still insisting on pre-1948 right of return for some or all Palestinians, so if you agree that that West Bank boundary agreement was reasonable, then that's probably doable to get Palestinians and Israel to agree to again, and (3) a contiguous land for Palestinians. Palestinians already have had 2 different regimes governing Gaza vs. West Bank for almost 20 years; seems reasonable to let those continue as separate countries in a three state solution. If they want to vote to join, but non-contiguously, then fine. But why do you think you can get Israel to give up contiguous land so Palestinians can have contiguous land? I don't see how there's a possible middle ground here. Maybe a middle ground could be Israel constructing a gigantic tunnel between West Bank & Gaza, and Palestinians can use that?
