A new book came out that's a translation (and extensively explained) of a tell-all about Nazism, and how it developed from German culture like Prussian militarism. It's a tell-all written by Heinrich Pfeifer, an early high-level Nazi who was disenchanted by his colleagues' barbarism during the Night of the Long Knives, began serving as a spy for England/USA within Nazi high ranks, and defected to Switzerland in 1938. https://parthenonpodcast.com/history-unplugged-podcast/a-nazi-defector-revealed-germanys-infiltration-in-all-major-governments-in-his-1945-memoir - I would be really interested to hear how Pfeifer's explanation of the origins of Nazism fit in with the observations in your article here.
