As a MAGA Trump-supporter myself, I'd point out that the main thing civilization should want from its government is to not do anything "for" people at all. We should be taking care of all our issues ourselves without the use of the government's police powers (monopoly on legitimate violence) to coerce domestic dissenters to obey ideas that they do not agree with. The gov’s proper role is to use police/mil to stop us from hurting each other, and by hurting I mean mostly only physical harm. In this regard, Trump's presidency is a win even if all he does is make the government grow less quickly compared to growth in the economy/population, which actually is rather likely; so, I don't think I'm going to be disappointed. Yes, the special interests in Trump's coalition don't want to fix immigration, but neither do the Democrats: the elitists running the Democratic Party love having cheap labor for their housework. The main way Biden has done anything to reduce inflation recently was to import cheap labor so as to reduce labor costs, thereby reducing pressure for price increases. The main point is that there is likely to be far less unskilled immigration under Trump (you can't deny that), and that is a big win. Civilization shouldn't be relying upon poor countries remaining poor, which is what the Democratic Party effectively is doing by relying on mass unskilled immigration more than the Republican Party does. https://medium.com/non-violence/law-contract-two-violent-involuntary-sides-of-the-same-coin-4c8a3ee51d62
