Every energy source has problems. Making solar panels, and batteries for all renewables, uses vast amounts of acids and chemicals. Right now the Chinese Communist Party is perfectly fine with this becoming large scale pollution in their land, so we Western don't see those costs. I have never seen a full lifecycle (production to disposal) comparison of nuclear and various renewables.
