Florida's nice if you like swimming in the ocean; the water is so much warmer than California! Somehow I find running on the beach barefoot far more possible in Florida than in California; that's a very special joy. As far as walkability goes, Los Angeles is infamous for not being walkable. I suspect there are probably just as many walkable areas in Florida per capita as in California.
