I do think that LinkedIn is probably subconsciously-deliberately (yes I know that's an oxymoron, but whatever) sub-optimizing hiring in order to avoid this outcome to a greater degree. However, I would also point out that theoretically LinkedIn could continuously earn legitimate subscription revenue from seekers & companies due to the fact that everything's always changing, and so for workers to legitimately need new jobs on a regular basis as their skills grow and life conditions change, and for companies that are regularly going through periods of growth to need new hires (some of whom'll be young'uns fresh from school) is always going to happen. LinkedIn has a legitimate business model when limited to these need/use cases.
