I don't understand how this counts as "affirmative action" either. Expanding the range of schools that a company recruits from doesn't sound like affirmative action to me. Affirmative action means there are a limited number of slots, and the chooser will choose one identity group over another despite the favored identity group performing less well on other metrics in the application process. Quotas are a means to implement that. Expanding the number of schools that a recruiter recruits at is not affirmative action.
