I fail to see how you bringing up a traditional Republican talking point, that growth requires tolerating inequality, helps you make the case for Democrats. And in any case, it's not actually true. California was growing until Democrats took over; now it's stagnating, inequality is rising, and the population is leaving. Same in New York; it did best for growth when Republicans led it decades ago. Right now the fastest growing, most prosperous parts of America are Republican areas: Texas & Florida.
