I think the more interesting claim that that author makes is that the fentanyl trade internal to Canada is one significant factor (among several) driving up housing prices because the people in Canada profiting from fentanyl are parking their profits in real estate. Nothing to do with the US. It’s because Canada’s letting Communist China-suppliers of fentanyl precursors to operate too freely in Canada. Even with little fentanyl coming into the U.S. (so far), it’s a security risk that the USA needs to deal with.
