If English is your native language, the the two languages easiest to learn are Armenian and Spanish. No joke. Armenian. Sure it uses a different alphabet, but it's really phonetic, and the grammar is even easier than Spanish. Dutch is the closest related language to English, but man, English grammar had simplified a lot of absurdly useless complexities that remain in other Germanic languages.
