Israel has been trying to leave Gaza alone. Please be specific: How were Germany & Japan "left alone" in ways Palestinians have not been? You realize that the American military fully occupied Germany and Japan right after WWII and fully controlled their political system for at least the first decade or so after WWII, right? That's not left alone.
