It seems to me that a lot of membership co-ops do work in truly collaborative spirits. There are worker-owned companies, in Canada & in the USA, and they seem to be truly collaborative as well. In fact, the general trend I see is that worker cooperatives are so successful that at some point a rich outsider offers to buy the whole company and cash out the workers, and they take the offer. One reason why co-ops don't stick around, but it's a good reason. But I don't have data on the overall trends. How is co-op governance different from like a food/grocery co-op governance different from TDG anyway?
