Are you saying that in Travancore it was a sign of public obedience to higher castes for lower caste women to leave their breasts exposed? "Reverence" usually means the people doing the revering genuinely want to do the revering, but I don't think you're trying to say that the lower caste women were willingly exposing their breasts.
