No one is banning books in America. Banning a book means Fahrenheit 451-style prohibiting the book everywhere, including from private homes. Both Democratic and Republican local governments curate the necessarily-limited number of books on school and library shelves in accordance with the values by which they were elected; it is a normal, legitimate democratic process and exercise of government role. If you don't like the government doing this in government-run schools & libraries, then please acknowledge the fundamentally more just and fair libertarian vision, and then non-governmental organizations can run their own schools and libraries and curate books however they want. If you don't believe that local Democratic governments are curating books in the same way you're calling "book banning", then you Matthew Maniaci are gaslighting.
