No one should be coerced through taxes or laws on healthcare insurance coverage to cover other adults' transition surgery. If someone wants transition surgery, they should not be able to use coercive systems to force others to pay for their elective surgery. The poor all around the world have so many healthcare needs; we in the rich world should be spending whatever healthcare resources we have on helping them out, not on forcing each other to pay for transition surgery.

Also, rather than firing people for using the wrong pronouns, and instead of the proliferation of individualized pronouns that runs counter to the reason d’etre of pronouns in the first place — to anonymize and agglomerate when specificity like individual specificity is not needed — I would suggest a compromise I as a conservative and a linguist could agree to: Anyone can use “they/them” for anyone else and no one has a reasonable basis to get upset at someone else for using “they/them”, let alone get someone fired. One universal genderless pronoun, just like lots of world languages like Chinese and Turkic languages.
