Odds are, the initial dating period with a foreign man might be romantic, but then he'll start imposing his norms on his American girlfriend/wife that she will not tolerate. There are always exceptions on both sides, but that's most likely the general trend. Whereas typically, American/European men treat women of any origin better than more traditional cultures. So, no, this isn't equal between American men and American women; American women are at a significant disadvantage. There are three reasons to have a longterm/lifelong relationship: (1) true, respectful, co-equal, mutually supportive companionship, (2) children, and (3) action (you know what I mean). Odds are, the American women aren’t offering the last two to the foreign men except a little bit of the last while the American woman is still attractive, and odds are the foreign men aren’t going to do a great job at the first. Tons of American men are terrible at the first as well, but odds are foreign men are even worse. So, no, your whole article is ignoring reality.
Odds are also that all men reading Medium.com or this post are far more likely than the average to actually want a longterm respectful, co-equal, mutually supportive relationship. But that’s the exception, not the general trend, unfortunately.
