"Prevent the country from moving forward" - That's biased. It's fine. We're all biased, but it's important that we all admit that we're biased. Your definition of "forward" almost definitely is very different from mine, and you should recognize that there is a diversity of views on that. You should admit that ideological diversity is real, and important.
