So, I am a conservative, and know lots of other conservatives, and I'm sure that there are some conservatives that would say things like this, but I don't know of many. It seems to me most conservatives love the idea of higher education history, philosophy, democracy and citizenship, English, the full gamut of classical subjects. Even those few who might actually say what you're (it seems to me mostly straw manning) here would likely say that it is in primary/secondary pre-college education where everyone as general citizens should get education in these topics.
