Socialism is government action. Jesus never advocated government action ("Render unto Caesar..."). Government action uses the government's monopoly on legitimate violence to coerce dissenters into compliance. Jesus never advocated coercion. Theoretically some idealistic visions of socialism do not involve government but only voluntary acts and organizations (like the earliest Christians, and maybe arguably Israeli kibbutzes, hippie communes, and Hindu ashrams or whatever), but as a realistic factual matter, 99.9% of the time when socialists advocate socialism they're advocating government action, which is exactly the sort of coercive power that's antithetical to everything Jesus preached. https://medium.com/non-violence/non-violence-requires-relinquishing-police-enforced-gov-programs-f33c209f3c72
