What does it mean exactly to "be equal" or not? Equal treatment in law & reg (equality), or enforcing equal outcomes using the government's monopoly on legitimate violence (so-called “equity”)? Or something else? I can't think of any reason why women and man can't be treated equally before the law. Can you?
