While I am very anti-elite private schools, the flip side of the coin is that a decent society should allow dissent. A decent society should allow dissenting parents to educate their children outside of government-funded or government-run schools. And indeed Finland is just such a decent society: home schooling is permitted https://hslda.org/post/finland and there are small number of private schools that are not government-funded https://www.aacrao.org/edge/emergent-news/private-education-is-not-prohibited-in-finland. Or do you advocate "outlawing private schools" by jailing parents who start their own private schools, which is what Sweden does? https://hslda.org/post/sweden
