Yes, I am saying that over time countries allied with the USA/Europe become more and more democratic. Sometimes you see little progress for decades, and then a lot of progress all at once.

"Except influence from Washington" - If a democracy wants to eradicate all foreign influences, then I sympathize. If a non-democracy is trying to eradicate foreign influences from Washington/London/Brussels, then I do not sympathize and would encourage Washington/London/Brussels to broadcast Radio Free Liberty and meddle as much as possible to spread democracy.
