In democracies, we receive primary education about topics like history so that we don't have to physically meet everyone on the planet in order to be able to vote on how our government should conduct foreign policy with everyone on the planet. I have just as much right as a citizen of democracy with a general education to opine on matters of international relations as you do. You taking this approach to assert that only you can opine on a matter because only you have met some of the people involved is rank elitism.
