Yes, right now women outnumber men in college. But right now we're in a college bubble that cannot last. Already during the lockdowns of the early 2020s the higher education system has started tanking. Taking up so many years of young people's lives during their prime wage-earning and child-rearing years is killing off humanity. There may not be so much of a problem in the future with women typically having higher-level credentials than men. I definitely say "may", though; it's possible that this gender imbalance continues even into whatever future form higher ed takes, but with all the change happening, I wouldn't bet on it.
