You're acting like I don't know a lot of things, and it seems you even might mistakenly think I disagree with you? You suggest that maybe we shouldn't have "ignored" Chechnya, Georgia 2008, or Crimea 2014; what does not "ignore" mean? What would the West have done? Should we have fought ourselves against Russia's forces in Georgia/Crimea? We're providing Ukraine with a lot of weapons right now; maybe we should have been doing more of that for Georgia? Too much political discussion is just hot air, and B Kean's original article and your response don't really differ much. I agree with you two, but I think you're not doing the most important thing: Offering alternative visions of your recommendations for past and present and future concrete action.
